Dr Joyce J. Kiplimo, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Kabianga and Head of Department (Physical Sciences), was awarded the CADFP Mini-Grant for Conference Participation in September 2018. The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) Mini-Grant for Conference Participation is a competitive fund to support CADFP program alumni to present papers at major conferences. This fund is meant to enable the selection of Host Collaborators and Fellows who have papers accepted for joint presentation at major conferences to heighten their visibility within their disciplines and expand their professional networks, the fund covers airfare, accommodation and the conference fee.

Dr Joyce Kiplimo presented her paper at the Asian Chemistry Congress held in Singapore Mercure Hotel, on 12th -13th September, 2018. At the Conference, Dr. Kiplimo networked with scholars from Japan, Philipines, Srilanka, India, USA.
