The University conducted a training and induction workshop for the 7th Students Council in an event that was held in Nakuru from 20th to 22nd April 2022.
The workshop was meant to enhance the Students’ Council with leadership skills for effective and efficient service delivery and also prepare them to work and compete in the global arena as well grounded personalities in their areas of specialization.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Kipngeno, and some members of management were among the facilitators.
Some of the topics covered were: - structures, roles and organization of the university, communication, effective and successful leadership, time, budgeting & financial management and the role of planning among others.
Team building, conflict dynamics and management, smooth running of academic activities and cohesion and governance were also covered.
