Message from the Dean, School of Edcution delivered to the freshers admitted in the School:

"Congratulations and welcome to the family of University of Kabianga – School of Education. As you settle down in our university, I would like to draw your attention to the structures in the school of education. The school has three departments namely: CIEM – Curriculum Instruction Educational Media; EAPM – Educational Administration, Planning and Management; PF – Psychology and Foundations. These departments offer professional core courses that lead to the attainment of a Bachelor of Education degree, whereas the teaching subjects are offered in the school of Science, Business and Arts & Social Sciences.

I wish therefore to inform you that ALL Education Science students (Bed Science), Early Childhood and Primary (ECPE) are under Dr. B. Tabot, HOD CIEM department; Education Arts students (Bed, Arts) and Education with Guidance & Counseling are under Dr. Viviline Ngeno, Ag. HOD EAPM/PF department.

NOTE:

ALL first year Education students are expected to do two (2) teaching subjects. This is a requirement of the curriculum. Thus, science students are advised to focus on science subjects i.e. Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology; those who wish to train for Biology must do zoology and Botany courses while Arts students are advised to focus on arts subjects i.e. Maths, English, Literature, Kiswahili, Geography, History, Religion, Business studies: ALL Bachelor of Education with Guidance & Counseling students will take two teaching subjects in addition to Guidance & Counseling courses. All students pursuing bachelor of education in Early Childhood & Primary Education will do all the courses as prescribed in the department of CIEM. All the courses will be displayed on the departmental notice boards in the various schools.
