The University is keen on mentoring both primary and high school students and preparing them for higher learning. The University believes that every child needs to be encouraged to achieve their potential. That is why many schools bring their children to University of Kabianga for academic trips. The pupils and students are offered career advice and motivated to work hard in their studies. .

On 25th May, 2016, Rae Girls High School form Kisumu County, visited the University and were received by the Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Andrew Kipkosgei. The students received career talks from various experts in the University. They also had an opportunity to visit various projects including the University farm, water treatment plant, pineapple juice extraction plant, among others. The students also had an opportunity to visit the ICT center, physical and biological labs, where they were shown various equipments and simulations. The programme is aimed at encouraging exploration of professional career paths and enabling the next step of entrance into the University.
