Friday the 21st of February 2020 was set aside as a day to create a culture of wellness, team build, bond and have fun at the same time at the University of Kabianga. The activity was organized by the University Health Unit with the aim of promoting a healthy living among employees at the University.  Healthy living  leads to self-motivated and productive staff. It  also reduces lifestyle diseases which in turn reduce visits of medication, absenteeism and lateness.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wilson Kipngeno, on his speech read by Prof. Joash Kibett emphasised the importance of staff wellness. This enhances productivity in their performance. In the speech he urged members to make the function interactive and enjoyable. He also adviced members to make it a routine to regularly check their health status even after.

Among the activities organized were sports, testing of Body Mass Index (BMI), sugar level, blood pressure, presentation on HIV Aids and living with it. The activities were open to all University fraternity including  family members.
