For the second year in a row, the University of Kabianga has today virtually held its 9th graduation ceremony. The colorful event kicked off at 9:30am and was streamed live on KTN News and the University’s Facebook page and Youtube channel.

A total of 1856 graduands (4 Doctorates, 41 Masters, 1697 Undergraduates and 114 Diplomas) graduated in different academic disciplines.

Speaking during the ceremony the Chief Guest Prof. Raphael Munavu reminded the graduands that as they join the world, it is their moral duty to uphold the highest level of ethics, integrity and patriotism in wherever they go and do.

The acting Chairman of Council Mr. William Mayaka asked the graduands to be brand ambassadors of the University of Kabianga wherever they go.

The University Chancellor Dr. Mbiti asked the graduands to go out there and have their impact felt. That they be problem solvers or at least part of the solution but never problem creators. She commended the Council and University Management for being swift in responding to the turbulent times occasioned by the Covid 19 pandemic .Finally she urged the academic staff to engage more on research that is aligned to the University’s niche in order to curb the competitive edge of the University.

On his part, the VC Prof. Kipnge’no advised the graduands to use their education to transform the world to a better place and that education does not end when one graduates. “Your graduating today should ignite in you a new beginning in your educational life, learning is a lifelong activity” he said.
