It is a week of pomp and dance at the University of Kabianga as it holds its 7th Cultural Week themed “Cultural Diplomacy for Peace and Unity”.

The six-day-long event which began on Monday 17th February 2020 was officially opened today Tuesday 18th February 2020 by the University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Wilson Kipngeno. The celebrations which are being held at the University’s Pavilion will run to Saturday 22nd February 2020, features a packed programme of matches, cross country, public lectures, traditional meals exhibitions, cultural dresses, traditional dances, beauty contest among other artefacts.

In his address to the University Staff and Students at the pavilion, the Vice Chancellor called upon them to foster peace and unity for cohesion and integration through the use of cultural heritage and endowments as pedestals of our interactions.

Present in the opening ceremony were: Prof Omwenga DVC A&SA, Prof Oduor Ag. DVC PR&D, Deans of Schools, Directors, Heads of Departments among other staffs.
