First year students of Academic Year 2021/2022 had the opportunity to be addressed by the University's Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wilson Kipngeno today Wednesday 15th September, 2021.

The event which was held at the Pavilion Square was held under Ministry of Health guidelines and protocols of curbing Covid 19 pandemic.

Those in attendance included Prof. Eric Koech- Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance), Prof. Maurice Odour - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Ag) (Planning, Research & Development) and Prof. Joash Kibett who represented Prof. Elijah Omwenga - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Student Affairs).

Present also was the Dean of Students, Registrars, Deans of Schools and Heads of Departments.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor counselled the first students that as they begin their university life they need to be mindful of their lives for "your life in the University is very different from the life you underwent in high school". He further reminded the freshers to uphold their spiritual and moral uprightness.
