University of Kabianga Staff equipped with Electronic Government Procurement Skills
Friday 29th May, 2026, marked the conclusion of a two-week Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) training for University of Kabianga staff held at the Main Campus. The capacity-building programme which commenced on Monday 18th May, 2026, was conducted courtesy of The National Treasury as part of the ongoing public finance management reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency and full compliance within public institutions.
Over the 14-day period, the University Staff were engaged in practical, hands-on sessions whereby they covered the end-to-end electronic public procurement cycle. The training focused on mastering practical procurement and asset disposal planning, digital audit trails, records management and electronic bid submissions to effectively streamline institutional operations.
The University extends its sincere gratitude to the dedicated team of trainers from the National Treasury who delivered and spearheaded these vital sessions. The team comprised of Mr. Ronald Kibiego, Ms. Nancy Lidonde and Mr. Kevin Mbaluka.Their expertise and institutional support have been invaluable.
With the training officially wrapped up, the University of Kabianga staff have been equipped with technical skills needed to transition to the modern e-GP system, ensuring greater accountability and efficient digital service delivery.
