Ajira Club University of Kabianga Activation

University of Kabianga AJIRA club is a students’ club duly registered with the Dean of Students. Currently the club has 67 members. On 24th January, 2024 the club held an activation event whose major role was to hold an outdoor student awareness activity within the University compound.

Ms. Edith the Ajira program assistant manager accompanied by the club patron, Mr. Amos Wanyoike, paid a courtesy call to Prof. Erick Koech (VC). Ms. Edith briefed the VC on the role of the AJIRA digital club in helping students work while pursuing their studies. The VC applauded the initiative, which coincides with his vision for the university. He committed that the University will support any activities that will be held. Students who enroll in AJIRA have a variety of Modules to choose: content writing, transcription, data Entry, basic programming, artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber security, among others. After the activation program, there shall be training tentatively planned to take place between 29th January and 2nd February 2024.
