Celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Every year on February 11th, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science raises awareness about women and girls challenges and promotes them in science.

In honor of the day, the University of Kabianga Directorate of Gender held a workshop to students under the Theme: Equality in Science for Society: the value of Social Cultural Dimension in Science, Technology and Innovation to enhance sustainable development Programmes with a special focus on Carrier path in Science and Testimonies of Female Scientist Lecturers on their Journeys as Scientists.                                                                                                                                                                       

The event was held on Thursday 11th February, 2021 at University of Kabianga- Main Campus from 2.00 – 5:00 pm at LTB2 LH6.

The guest speakers of the day were UoK Female Lecturers and Staff in the Science World.
