Implementation of TC4BE Project at UoK is In Top Gear

TC4BE stands for Transformative Change in Telecoupled Agrifood Systems for Biodiversity and Equity. This 4years- project commenced on 1.12.2022.

University of Greenwich /UK partners on the European Commission funded research project are back to UoK since 31,01.2024 to commence fieldwork activities within the Mau Forest-Masai Mara Landscape. 

Prof Valerie Nelson leader of Work package 5 and her UoG PhD student Naill together with UoK team of researchers under Dr Joseph Hitimana leadership, namely Prof Ogembo, Dr Dirothy Syallow,  Dr Noah Kibet, George O. Omondi and Research Assistant Loice O. Bikeri  are deeply involved in planning activity at UoK Town Campus on 31.01 to 01.02.2024 (attached photos). 

Emerging PhotoVoice Participatory approach is being used in interacting with communities in the landscape to study telecoupled agrifood systems, biodiversity and equity. The full team will be together for 10 days after which UoK will continue. 

Kenya (UoK), Colombia and Cameroon represent food producing countries for European Union/UK market. 

The project has many European institutions as our partners.
