(i) Mean grade of C+ at KCSE and at least C in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Agriculture, Business Studies, Religious Studies, English or Kiswahili and Geography. OR
(ii) Two years ordinary diploma with a distinction or credit in environmental studies or related field from a recognized institution will be admitted to the second year of study.
(iii) Applicants with a pass will join the first year of study.

i. KCSE C- (Minus); C (Plain) English/Kiswahili, C- (Minus) Maths/Physics, and C- in any 2 Science subjects OR
ii. KCE DIV III: Pass of 8 in Maths/Physics, 8 in any 2 Science subjects, Pass in English/Kiswahili OR
iii. Certificate with at least Credit or their equivalent: Forestry, Agroforestry, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related fields from recognized institutions; OR
(i) The Common regulations for the Master’s degree of University of Kabianga apply.
(ii) First class or Second class upper division in Forestry, Agro forestry, agriculture, Social sciences or biological sciences from recognized University OR
(iii) Second class honours lower division with at least two years relevant working experience. OR
(iv) Fields other than forestry will be required to satisfy pre-requisites to postgraduate courses in Agro forestry.
