Persons Living with Disabilities Open Games and Chess Championships

Students from the University of Kabianga competed in the Persons Living with Disabilities Open Games in a variety of sports, including darts, table tennis, chess, scrabble, and athletics/field. They were placed second overall in the indoor games and took home gold, silver, and bronze medals in other sports.
In another event, the 2nd Kenya Colleges and Universities Fide Rated Chess Championships 2025 saw Clare Jepchumba emerge as the top overall position one (1) PWD ladies chess player. She was awarded money and a certificate.
