University of Kabianga Launches NEIL Campus Park Pitching Session

On Thursday 13th August, 2026, University of Kabianga marked a significant milestone as the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eric Koech (PhD; MBS), officially opened the National Education Innovation Lab (NEIL) Campus Park Pitching Session.

From 3 innovations in 2023 to more than 35 active projects today, University of Kabianga continues to provide a platform for students and staff to transform ideas into practical solutions. During the session, 20 student teams pitched their innovations and will now advance to the Incubation Centre to develop market-ready startups.

The University has invested Ksh 10 million in supporting student and staff innovations, alongside an additional Ksh 4 million towards startups in aquaculture, organic solutions and eco-friendly fertilizers.

With partners including Kenya National Innovation Agency  (KeNIA) and NEIL Africa, the University is strengthening its Research-to-Commercialization ecosystem and creating pathways for promising ideas to reach the market.

This progress reflects University of Kabianga’s vision to be a leading university in scientific innovation for the betterment of humanity.
