​University of Kabianga Welcomes the Class of 2030 to Main Campus

University of Kabianga successfully concluded the 2026 First-Year Orientation Week, welcoming more than 5,676 new students to the Institution.

The week featured a range of activities designed to help the new students settle in, connect and prepare for university life. From sports and wellness sessions to psycho-education workshops and a joint interfaith service, students were encouraged to build a strong foundation for their personal and academic journey.

On Monday, September 7th, 2026, students took part in academic inductions and were introduced to key university leaders, Schools, departments, library services and the resources available to support their studies.

The orientation week culminated on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, with the Vice-Chancellor’s Address at the Main Campus Pavilion. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eric Koech (PhD; MBS) officially welcomed the Class of 2030 and urged students to embrace discipline, integrity, safety and active participation in campus life.

The day also featured gender awareness sessions, equipping students with important insights on gender equality, respect, inclusion and responsible relationships within the university community.

As the orientation week came to a close, University of Kabianga welcomed the 2026 first year students into its community and looks forward to their growth, success and meaningful contribution to the Institution. May this new chapter be one of purpose, discovery and achievement.
