UoK's 11th Graduation Ceremony

University of Kabianga had its 11th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 27th October, 2023 in which 1218 graduands comprising 18 Postgraduate, 1,134 Undergraduate and 66 Diploma students graduated.

During this auspicious ceremony, Prof. Eric Koech was installed and handed over instruments of power as the second Vice-Chancellor of  the University. In his acceptance speech, Prof. Koech said that "with teamwork from all University stakeholders, he will be able to lead the institution to another level".  While he thanked God for the appointment, he similarly thanked the Government for appointing him as the Vice-Chancellor of University of Kabianga. 

The Chief Guest of UoK's 11th Graduation Ceremony was Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala; Principal Secretary, State Department for University Education and Research. In her address speech, she said 'the gains that will be got out of the new funding model cannot be gainsaid. That new model will see the University benefit immensely". She further challenged the University to be more innovative in research.

In her speech, the Acting Chancellor Dr. Adelaide Mbithi congragulated Prof. Eric Koech for his appointment. She commended the University Council for its commitment and dedication to the service of the University. On his part, Mr. Wiiliam Mayaka who was Acting Chairman of Council said that University "continues to excel in numerous ways, a clear sign to its growth to a world class University".

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Koech said that, "in respect to job market needs, University of Kabianga is determined to provide competitive, relevant and accredited diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Besides parents and guardians who came to be part of the ceremony, there were Vice-Chancellors and representatives from other various institutions.
