Vice-Chancellor's Address to First Year Students of School of Health Sciences

Flanked by the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Deans, Directors of Directorates, members of Senate and Management, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eric Koech addressed First Year students of 2023 of the School of Health Sciences at Kapkatet Campus. This came after days of orienting the first years to University life and how to go about with ease.

"On behalf of the Chancellor, University Council, Management Board, Senate, members of staff and students, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and welcome all the First year students of 2023/2024 cohort to UoK; School of Health Sciences. We are really delighted to welcome you as the newest members of the University of Kabianga family" Prof. Koech said in his opening remark. 

He went further to give the students sound advice on concerns of safety, drug and alcohol misuse, immorality, gambling, and other vices that might have an adverse effect on their academic standing.  Additionally, he reminded them that while their stay at the university is short t, it is best to make the most of it.
