Victory Beyond the Lecture Room: University of Kabianga Shines at 2026 KUSF Nationals

The University of Kabianga (UoK) is proving that excellence knows no bounds, seamlessly blending academic rigor with sporting brilliance. 

While the institution continues to advance its academic programmes, it is also a dedicated champion of the Competency Based Education (CBE) programme by fostering talent through vibrant extra-curricular activities.

​This holistic approach bore fruit at the 2026 KUSF National Championships hosted at Kabarak University from February 19th to 21st, 2026. The UoK teams showcased incredible discipline and teamwork across multiple categories, including: ​Rugby (Men & Ladies), ​Swimming,​Taekwondo and ​Darts.

​The highlight of the tournament was the Rugby Ladies team, who emerged as the 2026 KUSF National Champions after a thrilling final match against Murang'a University of Technology. This historic victory not only crowns them as national queens but also secures their spot on the international stage, with a direct ticket to represent the university in South Africa and at the East Africa level.

​Special thanks goes to Coach Okello Steve Okinyi for his commendable leadership and the Dean of Students Office for their continuous support and encouragement.
